For over 35
years holidays have been enjoyed at Cutkive Wood, many people
returning year after year to experience this unique rural location
surrounded by Cornwall’s beautiful countryside. You are invited to
discover and share this idyllic setting.
Nestling
in the heart of a peaceful and lovely 41 acre family owned country
estate, which you are welcome to enjoy, there are six cedar clad
holiday lodges each with their own parking. Set apart in mature
gardens to provide some privacy they each have a patio, picnic table
with bench seats and lovely views – perfect for just whiling away a
few hours.
Relaxing on the edge of the beautiful bluebell woods in a secluded
position, you will be able to
appreciate panoramic views of the
Cornish countryside.
Enjoy yourself in this tranquil rural haven. Through the 30 acres of
ancient woodland, which is a
Cornwall County Wildlife Site, you can explore the nature tracks.
There is an abundance of
wildlife such as deer, buzzards, owls, otters, woodpeckers, foxes, jays, squirrels,
rabbits and lots more native birds and butterflies. You may even see
the red kites, stoats and kestrels. Flora and fungi abound all year
round.
Everyone can meet and enjoy being with the goats and
their kids that are a bundle of fun; we have four generations of goats
living here. In season there may be some lambs who
can be bottle fed. Then there are the free range ducks, chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs. You
can all come and help feed the animals, collect the eggs and also try
your hand at the popular pastime of milking our goats.
At the edge of
the woods there is a big play area.
You can also
play on the pitch and putt course. The children will enjoy playing and running
around in the natural meadow and everyone will love to walk along the tracks
and explore the woods.
Dogs are welcome to come on holiday to
Cutkive Wood. They can be walked through the woods or in
the meadow and they are some good walks nearby as well. There is a
maximum of two dogs allowed per lodge (additional dogs by special
arrangement).
Treat yourself to a holiday at Cutkive Wood, you’ll get a friendly
welcome and we’ll help you to enjoy and make the most of your time in
Cornwall.
We look forward to seeing you again or
welcoming you for your first stay.
