The raw natural beauty of both Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor are close at hand. A gentle stroll is all you need as you don’t have to venture too far to appreciate the wonder of both Moors and the peace and tranquillity that they give you.

You can have a morning amble and a meal at one of the moorland pubs before setting off for your afternoon.

Bodmin Moor is designated an International Dark Sky Landscape which means that you can marvel at the starry starry nights and see shooting stars and space satellites while staying here at Cutkive Wood. The night sky is awash with stars and the more that you look the more that you see. Even with a ‘normal’ pair of binoculars the heavens are astoundingly splendid.

There are also plenty of lovely walks along the spectacular coastline and a vast network of lanes and footpaths throughout the countryside.

And then there’s that leisurely stroll along one of the fine local beaches such as Seaton or Whitsand Bay.

And when you’ve been out and enjoyed the pleasure of being in the fresh open air you can come back to your very own Lodge where you can wind down and make the most of your evening, perhaps a night in with a dvd and a glass of wine or a night out for a meal at one of the Cornish pubs.
